Projects selected and co-funded by the European Commission

So far three different international projects of MUSICA RICERCATA have been selected and co-funded by the European Commission:

- ‘HELLENIKA – Dialogo della musica antica et della moderna’ explored the relations between ancient Greek musical culture and the birth of opera in Florence and was selected for the programmes ‘Kaleidoscope 1996’ and ‘Kaleidoscope 1997’.

- The festival ‘La Via del Sale’ focused on Medieval history and music and was sponsored within the L.E.A.D.E.R. II programme (Liaison Entre Actions de Développment de l’Économie Rurale) in 1998 and 1999.

-‘MUSA MUSEO MUSICA - Organicae voces. Klangwelten des 17., 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts’ promoted a study on classical musical instruments and the changes in musical taste and style in relation to the evolution of sound over the past four hundred years. This project was selected for the triennial programme ‘Raphael 1999-2002’ dedicated to the enhancement and safeguarding of European cultural heritage.
